SKK Oil : Oil Era in Indonesia It Through
Jakarta - Indonesia's oil production is getting more and more day down , did not even touch the specified target budget . This indicates the oil era in Indonesia at this time is over .
It is expressed as Acting Head of Special Unit Executive for Upstream Oil and Gas ( Migas SKK ) John Widjonarko in Improved Gas Recovery Forum event at the Shangri - La Hotel , Jakarta , Monday ( 11/18/2013 ) .
" The era of oil in Indonesia is over , now our era gas era , " said John .
John said , Indonesia currently has gas reserves by 19 % of the gas reserves in Asia Pacific . " Indonesia is an important contributor in the world , has huge reserves of even 19 % of gas reserves in the Asia Pacific region in Indonesia , " he said .
Moreover, in each exploration in Indonesia mostly always found gas instead of oil .
" Now we are dominated by gas , our gas production increased by 7 % every year since 2007 to 2013 , which met every gas exploration,not oil, " he said.
